Portland Fall

January 3rd, 2010

I’m still in vacation mode, but I promise to get back to work tomorrow! There’s thrifting and a shop makeover to be done, prints to work on, shelves to build, and all kinds of other things. I think I might watch movies all day and really try to chill before coming back to the real world. I just finished scanning these prints of my photos from fall (printed with borders by Blue Moon Camera, my favorite photo place in Portland. I had a great fall, and I’m glad that I captured some of the best moments of the last few months on film. Lots of love for my chickens, golden hours in the park, important questing days, cozy fireplaces, kitty friends, autumnal produce, trees. There are more on my flickr and in my film set.

Your film photos might be my favorite Clever Nettle posts . . . the cat/chicken ones are especially wonderful! I’m reading this book about Flannery O’Connor and she was obsessed with chickens and birds–I bet you two would have been pals!

These are so wonderful. I’m going to have to see if Blue Moon does mail orders. There’s no good processing around here!

i love all of these photos! i am amazed that you have that little cat stuffed animal. i found two just like that (in orange and brown) in a charity shop in bristol when i was studying abroad in the uk. didn’t think i’d see them anywhere else. i love them so much!

I was gonna ask if that’s a real cat on the couch but phew, Leanne above me answered my question.

HA! I have a stuffed cat too. It was a present; now it guards the canned goods on top of the fridge.

Love the last photo especially–it’s like you’re all seated on a giant birthday cake :)
