Winter Tea Party
December 18th, 2009
I am pleased to announce that my subscription to Fudge Magazine has finally begun! The December issue is the first, and I have a whole year of Japanese goodness ahead of me. This is the first of several editorials that I’m going to scan and post from this issue, and it sure is a cute one. Fudge really has mastered the art of the twee photoshoot. Stacks of donuts! Land cameras! Dusty old wallpaper! Whimsical xylophones! Haha. Oh, they are good. Sometimes the styling is a little out there, but that’s common for any editorial, and it’s easy to ignore part of an outfit when the image is awesome as a whole. That golden suit has a pretty strong vintage vibe, don’t you think? Also some of the prints look like big wool coats from the 50′s and 60′s, the kind that I am hesitant to buy for my shop because it means I will have to carry them home… those things are hea-vy! All the knits in these photos are great though, and I definitely wouldn’t say no to a tasty December donut right about now. So playful and you said it best, whimsical! I love the legwear! And yes, I will have one of those donuts with some of those jewels on the side please.

the wallpaper/fabric? is just so adorable! it has such a prairie feel to it. can’t you see laura ingalls, well actually nelly, sitting in a room with that paper?

cool, a shoot of entirely marni!! they are one of my favorite fashion brands that i can’t afford…my sister used to work for them and we carried them at the store i used to work at. their legwear, knits, fabrics, and winter gear are always amazingly cute!
