Q.W.S

December 12th, 2009

I finally got around to developing several rolls of film from the summer & fall, and here is the first batch! I took my SLR on my annual cabin trip to Tyee, which is a very special and magical time that I spend with my oldest and closest friends. I shot the photos using my Minolta SR-T 201 that I’ve had since I was 14 and the film was regular, drugstore Kodak film (200 or 400, I can’t remember). If you want to see more film scans, I have a set on flickr with lots more images. Also, please note that the borders are part of the actual printing, it’s not a photoshop effect! I get my photos printed at Blue Moon Camera.

Those are fun. Thanks for the information on the printer- was the total cost of development and printing less than $10? I love that they do real printing- the borders are delicious :)

Gosh I’ve just fallen in love with your site! I’m going to subscribe to its feed. But just want to say these photos are fantastic! I have a few rolls that need to be developed and Im really going to try to find a place that will do a sloppy border!

So cool that the prints came with the border effect! There’s so many things I love about these photos, from how clear it is, to the colours and of course, them cool borders!

You look great in that one shot of you in your hoodie :]

Ah! these are so lovely – it’s inspiring a little bit of jealousy in me. why does it have to get cold?
