Fudge Magazine: August, pt. I
September 4th, 2009
I’ve talked about it before, and I’ll say it again: Fudge Magazine is so great. Through the kindness of awesome people on the internet, I was able to get my hands on a copy of the August issue! Thanks so much, Eunice, for sending this to me! It’s the only magazine other than Lula that I’m actually interested in buying, as much as I think Russh is cool they just don’t do enough neat editorials for me to justify the purchase. I’m sort of weird about magazines like that, I have a hard time spending money on them. Anyway, the last issue of Fudge did not disappoint, and I scanned in my favorite editorials from the issue and am going to share them here over the next few days. A nice, easy thing to blog about while Rachel is in town. I won’t neglect you this time, little blog (kenny bloggins).
The thing I like most about interesting editorials is that you don’t even have to love the clothes in order to appreciate the photos. The styling and locations are often enough for me! This editorial features all stuff from Marc by Marc Jacobs (I think- the magazine is in Japanese, after all, so I can’t be totally sure), and while I’m not in love with all the outfits, the pictures are just so sweet that I am into it no matter what. The light in it is just perfect- looks slightly overcast, perfect for the beginning of September!

I think I might upload the scans to flickr as well, so you can check over here if you like!

These photos are all wonderful! I love the overcast look of the lighting. But what I really want are those old wooden crates!

Yeah, I love when you post these!!! I know what you mean about Russh too–whenever I see it in the bookstore I plan on buying it, but then I go through and look at the editorials there’s only one I like and so it’s not worth it. I do like it though! But these are really inspirational–thanks for scanning!!!

i love it when editorials feature things i can actually do in my own life. i can read in my backyard. i can play “alice through the looking glass” with giant playing cards. i can twirl, and i will, now that i’ve seen these!
