The Summerland shoot at Megan’s new house was really nice. Just Megan, Skye and myself, making spring scenes and checking out all her beautiful new stock, like this lace TBA dress. So good. Skye said that Megan’s house is like a dollhouse, and I totally agree. I’ve never really had the dream of buying a house, but if it was buying THAT house, I might reconsider! One of my favorite things about shooting for Megan (other than the obvious, which is that she’s my buddy and we work well together) is that she never fails to provide good snacks. Never, ever underestimate the importance of snacks on a shoot! She made me two cups of Paris tea, which I haven’t had in the house in a while. Someone (Frankie?) once told me to put sweetened condensed milk in that tea, but I still have yet to try it. YUM. And hey, check out my pink leather cat coasters in use! I’ll have some of these sets at the Beggar’s Banquet sale this weekend.
Photoshoots are also a good excuse to buy really impractical cheap glittery platform shoes, which are good for almost nothing except being photographed. Feel free to swap out “photoshoots” for “fashion blogging”, although I’m happy that those days are far behind me. Thank you to everyone else for buying all the stuff so that I don’t have to! Hot tip: a lot of Goodwills in Portland are filled with crazy like-new shoes that are perfect for photoshoot times.
Muffin has a new trick, basically just ceiling cat. Megan told us the tragic tale of how Muffin’s head got stuck in a jar as a kitten, poor little critter!
