Rainy Day Faves

November 12th, 2008

Dudes, it is raining so hard right now! I already did my errands for the day and got totally soaked so I am not leaving the house for a while if I can help it. I made more copies of my Norway comic, Kaffe og Cookie (that’s a link, can you tell? I think I should make my link font color more obvious), so they are still available. Every time I make copies I think to myself, “Ok, this will probably be the last batch,” but then they surprisingly sell out and I have to make more! I’m amazed at how many copies must be out there in the world. Pretty neat. Oh, this rain. A friend of a friend is selling her car and we’re going to look at it tomorrow, I think. I feel guilty about having a car, but I feel miserable when I’m all wet waiting for the bus. It’s a tough choice but I think we’re ready for some wheels.

I wanted to share some new favorite shops on etsy. There are so many cool ones popping up all the time, it’s hard to keep up!

a la garconniere

This great shop is run by my friend Julia! We’ve been livejournal pals for a long time and I’ve always admired her thrifting skills and style. She is a bold, cool lady and has great taste so I’m sure you guys will see something you like in her shop!

treefox

I think these little cross-stitches by treefox are so sweet. I love the colors and the designs, the lions and the crown are my favorites!

Hopeless

This lingerie by Hopeless is totally stunning and pretty. Way out of my price range, and I would probably look ridic in it anyway, but it is still nice to look at! The shapes and colors are really great.

Celeste Frittata

My friend Rebecca found this journal and it’s definitely my favorite from Celeste’s shop. I love the gold and blue, and I’m a big fan of anything with constellations. I still don’t know my stars very well, but got into it a few years ago when I was living in Vancouver because I had a friend who knew a lot about stars. It still blows my mind when I think about the fact that any of the stars we can see might not even exist anymore!

Kcoline

This dress!! Could a more perfect holiday dress exist? I think not. It’s a wool/mohair knit, it looks so cozy and fantastic. I would like to wear it and drink some warm boozy drinks by a fire.

I love Kcoline. I would promise my first born child for the Stephanie dress. (Joke’s on them! I hate kids!)

That is the perfect holiday dress! And warm boozy drinks sounds great since it’s cold and wet here too.
