Fox Hunt
October 30th, 2008
Thanks for all the birthday wishes! It was a fun day, and our dinner at Farm was just as good as I hoped it would be. Afterwards we came home and watched Karate Kid 4, the one with Hillary Swank. It was so bad!! Haha. We like having little movie marathons like this, so we just watched all of the Karate Kid movies (previous marathons included Jurassic Park, the Jason Bourne movies, Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters) and they were pretty hilarious. They’re always kind of bad/hilarious movies, and we get so wrapped up in the themes that we start seeing dinosaurs or karate-related things everywhere, it is pretty funny.

Fox in the Prairie by James SpicerI’ve been inspired by my new fox shoes to share some more cool fox things with you guys. I think they are really neat animal, and they’ve always been on my mind. The first foxes in my life were sneaky, cunning dudes in stories who were always trying to trick someone into being eaten, and the little gray foxes at our old wildlife park back home. They are recognized in lots of cultures as a sneaky, magical animal and have been written about it tons of stories. One of my favorite flowers is foxglove, because it’s so cute/hilarious to imagine a fox putting his paw into the blossom. Foxes and squirrels are my animals of choice- I get really excited when I get a chance to add a new fox or squirrel item to my life.

First, an image from the awesome white apple with her taxidermy fox! Pretty neat, it has the perfect expression. I wish I had one for my house. By the way, if you aren’t reading April’s blog yet, you should start!

I’ve been in love with this dress from mellie for a long time now, but of course it is way too small for me and also very expensive! Isn’t it amazing though? It’s so unique and I love the back with the fall scene and then the little running fox on the front.

This little fox figurines are very sweet too, via norka.

This is a great woodcut print from tugboatprintshop, from part of a Woodland Creatures series.

A neat old image of a girl and a fox. I’m assuming that he’s a taxidermy guy too, but it looks like it could still be alive!

One of my favorite prints by Julianna of Oh My Cavalier.

This little guy is adorable! I love his giant ears. From Glamaroni.

I’m not really sure what’s going on in this picture, it looks like this fox is tripping or something. Via icklebird.

This fox sweater by Peter Jensen has been making the rounds on several blogs and I like it too! The funny thing is that it looks like of like a weird thrift store sweater made for a kid by his grandma, but there’s something about it that works.

Fox riding a bike! This guy is the Duke of NY, by Matte Stephens.

This is one of the cutest pictures ever. Sweet little fox! via zx9. It would be amazing to pet a friendly fox, remember those cute ones in Grizzly Man? I was so jealous, but only of the fox-friend part. Obviously I do not want to be eaten by a bear.

This was the best post ever! I was ooohing and awwwwing throughout the entire thing! It was like every picture was better than the last! I can so relate to wanting everything squirrel and fox related! Timmy the fox was my favourite part of Grizzly Man! And I always wanted a pet squirrel, but I figured it would eat my eyes while I slept… so not really a good idea!

don’t mean to be rude or anything but isn’t owning a taxidermy fox supporting the killing of foxes?
just an observation not a judgement
whats the point anyway when you get get a living breathing fox from a breeder near you!
or at least where I come from you can
5yrs fox breeding experence

[...] (I think?) item in my mini collection of fox hunt themed clothing. I originally blogged about it here, and since then have acquired a blazer with fox hunt lining and another skirt with a cool fox hunt [...]
