Several ANN-YA items are now available at Poketo!
Stoked to announce the Drew Leather Clutch, made with a special floral print leather that is exclusive to Summerland! I love how it’s a bit retro, reminds me of cute old wallpaper and reminded Megan of 90′s Drew Barrymore and her iconic daisy-wearing era. The daisies are popping off here in Portland (along with one billion other flowers) and you can really feel summer in the air. It’s hard to believe in it, because sometimes we get dissed by nature and the rain returns before Official Summer, but for now I’m enjoying it! Going to Sauvie Island today with some ladies for a picnic. Let’s finish this post with a little photographic ode to 90′s Drew:
This ANN-YA tropical floral print leather is easily my new summer favorite! It is now available in three styles, the classic pouch, the change pouch, and a new zippered design, the oblong pouch! I hope this summery floral print will inspire trips to the beach (or around here, the river) wearing huge sunglasses and neon lipsticks.
New ANN-YA Tropical Leather Pouches are available in the shop! I’m also going to be making some zippered pouches out of this same leather, so stay tuned. Tropical the island breeze…
New pouch styles are now available in the shop. Really excited about these new leather designs! As always, the fancy prints are super limited, so don’t wait if there’s one you like. Also, I’ve updated the tote styles so they now have thicker straps and a lining! Had to raise the prices a little bit, but I think it was worth the switch. If you live in Portland, you can find some of these new pouches at Backtalk and Demimonde!
I realize that it’s kind of dorky to post a gift guide post-holidays, but this was a cool thing for my line and I want it ~on the blog record~ anyway, even if I’m way late! Having ANN-YA on Need Supply happened during my first ever experience of the holiday rush, and I would have posted about it sooner but I was super busy AND my computer was barely working at the time. Spot the cat coasters! They are the only remaining ANN-YA item on their site right now, I can’t even tell you how many cat coasters I made over the past two months. Let’s just say it was enough to allow me to watch the entire series of Gossip Girl from start to finish in just a few weeks, ha ha.
In other news I’m working hard on new products and will be debuting them soon!
UPDATE: Thank you so much for all your sweet comments! The giveaway is now closed and Dana from Summer Teeth is the random winner!
To finish off my holiday giveaway series I’m making it personal and offering up $100 in store credit to my own shop, ANN-YA! I’m going to keep this giveaway open until the new year, so please leave a comment on this post (whatever you like, it’s a free-for-all this time!) for a chance to win!
My line recently had its first anniversary and it has already changed so much in one year, evolving from an attempted clothing line into the world of leather. I’ve been super happy to be making things and am feeling pretty lucky that the people around me (both in Portland and virtually) have been supportive of my work. Right now I’m the featured indie designer on Megan Nielsen‘s great blog and you can read about my experiences in becoming a designer. Definitely read the other posts in that series too!
I was going to finish off this post with a bunch of the rad gift guides that have featured my stuff, but my computer is acting super weird and I can’t open photoshop to edit anything, so it will have to wait! I do post things like that regularly on the ANN-YA facebook page, so you can see them there. Yay!
Porltand folks! Some of my ANN-YA leather goods are available at this rad pop-up shop in the NW, it opened today! It’s hosted at the Caravan Pacific showroom showroom and is filled with lots of goods from local makers. It’ll be open all weekend, so definitely check it out. There’s a little Q&A with me over on the blog as well. Lots and lots of thanks to Shannon for hosting this event!
I am super happy to be participating (long-distance style) in this year’s Goldmine, a handmade pop-up shop in Northampton, Massachusetts! I sent along a sampling of ANN-YA goods, one of my little metallic change pouches is pictured above. I can’t wait to see photos, the shop looked pretty great last year and I know it will be just as good. Check out more of the makers on the facebook page and the blog. I’m pretty sure that if you’re reading this blog you understand how awesome it is to support independent artists and makers, but I’ll say it anyway – shop handmade for the holidays! You should definitely stop by if you live in the area, all of the necessary information is on the poster below!
This morning I am feeling extra appreciative that there are some ANN-YA goods stocked by Cisthene, it’s exciting to see my leather pieces amongst such beautiful things! Cisthene was one of my first stockists and I couldn’t be happier with the presentation, photography, and overall vibes. I really love Jen’s vision for her shop, and am feeling all the mysterious snake jewels so much right now. For now, Cisthene is the only place where you can buy the asymmetrical marbled clutch. The black leather that I was using is no longer available (it was from a collection of remnants that were originally used for fancy man shoes!), but I don’t really mind too much, since I love the idea of limited editions and unique products. The Cisthene blog is a great companion to the shop, follow it for awesome photo peeks and updates on sales and new wares.
